Meeting with Seija
At the beginning
she describe for me about HAMK, PTEU staff. In the PTEU unit work 80 employee
and each staff has developing program. Also she said they “Demand” and each
staff important for PTEU unit.
It was so interesting for me and I ask
question about new national curriculum
for Finnish school and how they prepare teachers for working with new curriculum.
Teachers union takes part early in the planning
for teachers. They improve own skills, knowledge throw courses, seminars,
support materials.
Perhaps in
the new curriculum will be include new subject and for this subject University prepare
the course where could study teachers and students.
Also she
shows me HAMK education strategy 2010 - 2015, where I find out many interesting
area.
In addition
she shows national committee for teaching staff development where I find out
step by step teacher development process. This process separate for teacher’s experience
period and what kind of development environment influence for career
development.
On the
whole our conversation gets practically and cognitively. I will be waiting eagerly next
meeting.

About Kauriala school
Kauriala upper secondary school one off the biggest school in the Hame area. In the Kauriala school study 580 students from 9 to 12 grade.
3-th March, Principal of Kauriala school represent for us general information about his school. In the school teaching 32 teachers I think for 580 students it is so extremely hard work. Also in the one class room study approximately 40 students, so big class and to my mind not so effectively for teacher and students to.
Additionaly he told about management team in the school, team work consist of the four groups which every year change, for team influence annual goal and I think this experence very well for targeted tasks.
Also for me interested teacher recruiting process, Head master choose which candidate suitable for this case. Also he may invite for intervyu vice-principal, subject teachers and student. His criteria for candidate teacher work experience, team work and volanter experience.
4-th March, Visit in the Kauriala school.
Vice-principal has presented for us presentation about matriculation exams. Aim this exams verification students maturity, knowloge, skills.
Also He to represent how prepear matriculation exams and who. Board matriculation exams consist of experts and teachers. It is regulated strict ruls
5-th Marth We has been in the Kaurela school.
First shared experence math teacher his name Sakari. Sakari discribe for us math lesson, how he to teach for students. Math lesson consist of two levels advance and general. General math comprises ten different tasks. Advance level for students who chose special math and consist oh the sixteen different tasks. Also he told about projects, he with students participate in internationaly project in Hungary CAMP. I was imasing with project "classical Geometry in classical Balet" very well project for students, this project to evoke students for geometry.
